The ministerial nominees selected by President Bola Tinubu are expected to commence their duties in the third week of August, specifically between August 14 and 18. According to a source close to the president, there are no immediate plans for the new ministers in the upcoming week, but it is anticipated that they will be included in the president’s schedule in the following week.
As previously reported, President Tinubu submitted a total of 48 ministerial nominations to the National Assembly in batches. The final batch of the list was presented to the Senate by the president’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, while the screening of the first list of ministers was already underway.
The president has refrained from asking the ministers to report for duty next week, as they will be relocating to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and require sufficient time to prepare for their responsibilities ahead.
