The military revealed last week that the ambush on the Zungeru-Tegina route and the crash in the Chukuba neighborhood of Shiroro, both in Niger State, cost the policemen their lives.
The Defence Chief declared that none of those enemies would escape punishment while speaking at the military cemetery in Abuja, where 20 fallen members of the armed forces were buried. He added that they would be pursued by all means.
Private Habib Aliyu, who entered the military in 2020, Lance Corporal Nura Mohammed, AB Suleiman with registration number X/1468, Lance Corporal Sunday Okopi (12NA/65/5192), and 16 other people are among the deceased who are buried at the cemetery.
Speaking after placing wreaths on their graves and presenting national flags to the deceased’s next of kin, according to Daily Trust, Musa said they shared their pain with the family members, adding that their loved ones’ deaths will not be in vain.
