Federal Government to Build 1000 Houses in 7 states..
President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for the construction of 1,000 houses in Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue States. This initiative is part of a broader strategy by the Nigerian Government to mitigate the consequences of conflict in the northern region.

Vice President Kashim Shettima shared this information while representing President Tinubu during the inauguration of state government projects in Maiduguri, Borno State. Additionally, he revealed that President Tinubu has allocated N50 billion to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to launch the Pulaku initiative, a non-violent approach aimed at addressing the crisis in the northwest region.
VP Shettima emphasized that President Tinubu’s development agenda extends to all parts of the country, with plans to rejuvenate wheat production. He assured Nigerians that the government is aware of their challenges and is committed to addressing them.
Shettima lauded the visionary leadership of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, particularly in caring for the welfare of the people. During his visit, he inaugurated several projects executed within the first 100 days of Governor Zulum’s administration, including schools and healthcare facilities.
VP Shettima also paid a courtesy visit to the Shehu of Borno’s Palace and was accompanied by dignitaries, including the Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari, legislators representing the State at the National and State Assemblies, and Deputy Governors from Borno, Gombe, and Taraba States.
