Vice President Shettima launches FG Skill innovation program..

    Vice President Kashim Shettima has inaugurated the Skillnovation Programme, a venture poised to equip over three million Nigerians with vital digital skills essential for success in the global economy. Launched on Friday by the Federal Government and ALAT, the initiative aims to bolster the information technology revolution, expanding the scope of economic and social interactions while fostering growth in productivity throughout Nigeria.

    Under the Skillnovation Programme, 15 cutting-edge ICT centers will be strategically established across Nigeria, providing individuals and businesses with access to advanced digital training, resources, and support. The initial phase will prioritize Katsina, Anambra, Borno, Lagos, Oyo, and Kano, followed by the second phase encompassing Delta, Kaduna, Ogun, Bauchi, Kwara, and Ekiti States.

    During the launch event at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Vice President Shettima characterized Skillnovation as a “transformative initiative” heralding a new era of digital empowerment for Nigerians. He emphasized that the program is a response to the evolving landscape of the modern business environment, recognizing that digital skills are now fundamental to economic ease and expansion in a world shaped by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
