Balarabe, a ministerial nominee, passes out during a senate hearing
Abass Lawal Balarabe, a nominee for a ministerial position, lost consciousness today while making his opening statements before the Senate. Many people were shocked when the incident occurred at an important Senate hearing.
While speaking to the Senate, Balarabe abruptly slouched, raising instant concerns among those present. Acting quickly, Senate President Godswill Akpabio requested medical aid to treat the injured nominee.
“When I observed Mr. Balarabe’s condition, I was really alarmed. His health and wellbeing are our top priorities, said Senate President Akpabio.
The Senate President decided to call an executive session after the incident, most likely to discuss the circumstances and take any required measures.
Balarabe’s collapse’s cause is still unknown as of the time of this report’s submission.
