President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through an official announcement, has given his approval for the appointment of 18 Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants. These appointees have been tasked with the responsibility of advancing the Federal Government’s objectives across various sectors of the economy.
The newly formed team comprises six Special Advisers and 12 Senior Special assistants who will operate within the office of the Vice President. Their role primarily revolves around supporting the implementation of the “Renewed Hope” agenda, which is a central focus of the Tinubu administration.

Among the appointments in the Vice President’s office are notable figures such as Rukaiya El-Rufai, who has been appointed as the Special Adviser (SAD) to the President on NEC and Climate Change. Another prominent appointment is Tope Kolade Fasua, who assumes the role of Special Adviser (SAD) to the President on Economic Matters.
Other key appointments include Aliyu Modibbo Umar, serving as Special Adviser (SAD) for General Duties, and Hakeem Baba Ahmed, who will fulfill the position of Special Adviser (SAD) on Political Matters. Jumoke Oduwole has been appointed as Special Adviser (SAD) to the President on PEBEC and Investment.
The list continues with the appointment of Sadiq Wanka as Special Adviser (SAD) to the President on Power Infrastructure, and Usman Mohammed, who will serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Administration & Office Coordination. Kingsley Stanley Nkwocha has been appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications.
Ishaq Ahmed Ningi is appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital Media & Emergency Management, while Peju Adebajo assumes the role of Senior Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Privatization. Additionally, Mohammed Bulama will serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political/Special Duties.
Other appointees include Kingsley Uzoma, who will serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President for Agricbusiness and Productivity Enhancement, and Gimba Kakanda, who will take on the role of Senior Special Assistant to the President for Research and Analytics. Temitola Adekunle-Johnson is appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the President for Job Creation and MSMEs.
Nasir Yammama will serve as Senior Special Assistant to the President for Innovation, and Zainab Yunusa as Senior Special Assistant to the President on NEC. Mariam Temitope assumes the role of Senior Special Assistant to the President for Regional Development Programs. Lastly, Bashir Maidugu will function as the Deputy State House Counsel, serving as a Senior Special Assistant to the President.
These appointments reflect the President’s commitment to assembling a diverse and experienced team to drive the Federal Government’s agenda forward.
