NNPP has disowned The Kwankwaso’s Kwankwasiyya movement..
The NNPP (New Nigeria Peoples Party) has officially withdrawn from the memorandum of understanding (MoU) that was previously signed by the party’s former leaders with the Kwankwasiya Movement. This decision was taken because the principles of the Kwankwasiya Movement appear to be primarily aimed at promoting the interests of its sole proprietor, rather than aligning with the NNPP’s commitment to transparency and inclusivity in its policies.

Under the new leadership, headed by Dr. Agbo Gilbert Major, the party has also declared its intention to undertake a comprehensive restructuring of its organizational framework at all levels throughout the country.
The party’s official statement reads, “The NNPP has confirmed its withdrawal from the Memorandum Of Understanding it had entered into with the Kwankwasiya Movement and TNM. This withdrawal is due to the perception that the principles of these two groups seem to serve the personal interests of their sole proprietor, which is inconsistent with the NNPP’s core values of openness and inclusiveness.
The party urges its numerous members and supporters to remain calm in the face of this bold move to distance itself from the Kwankwasiya Movement, which had mistakenly believed that the party was aligned with its agenda. Furthermore, the NNPP extends an invitation to all former members who left for various reasons to return to the party fold. Additionally, the party has decided to initiate a comprehensive restructuring of its organizational structures at all levels nationwide in the upcoming days and weeks.”
