A traditionalist’s son named Tunde Akinmoyewa was shot and killed by his friend Bode while he was testing the effectiveness of a charm that had been put on him at Laoso camp, Ondo town, Ondo State.
The deceased was an ex-convict and a member of a cult, according to police in the state, and the suspect killer is also a member of the group.
According to rumors, the buddies were attempting to strengthen themselves in advance of the town’s traditional Ogun festival.

It was unbelievable because such charms had never before failed, according to an eyewitness. But on this particular day, it fell short, killing the 27-year-old son of a traditionalist in the camp.
At the Laoso camp in the state’s Ondo West Local Government Area, a buddy of Tunde offered to test the charm on him after consuming a bullet-repelling mixture. It was around 6:45 p.m.
The charm’s purported creator, a native doctor, had apparently given them the assurance that they couldn’t perish from gunshot wounds.
Tunde allegedly instructed his companion to shoot him in order to gauge the effectiveness of the charms. When Tunde’s friend shot the Dane gun at him, he immediately fell and passed away.”He was taken by others who were on the scene to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Before the villagers came, the friend had already left the place after the incident.
When contacted, Funmi Odunlami, a spokeswoman for the state police headquarters, revealed that the victim was a former prisoner and part of a cult.
According to Odunlami, one of the victim’s boys is the suspect who shot the victim.She said they were testing “a locally made gun thought to have just been acquired. He was shot, and when he was being carried to the hospital for treatment, he passed away.The police photographer stated that while efforts were made in full swing to apprehend the fleeing culprit, Tunde’s remains had been placed at the morgue.
