Ex-minister Akinyemi: Israel’s Netanyahu is advocating the start of a third world war
Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, a former foreign minister of Nigeria, has asserted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is aiming for a third world war.
This is what Akinyemi said on Tuesday during an interview with Arise Television.
He claimed that Netanyahu intended to use the conflict between Israel and Haman as a pretext to ignite World War III by placing the United States against Iran.

If only he could succeed, he claimed, “Netanyahu is essentially seeking to ignite a third world war by forcing America into a conflict with Iran in this battle. And if that is his aim to bring about a direct military conflict between the United States and Iran, God help us all.
“The Americans have stated that they have no proof whatsoever that Iran is responsible for what Hamas did, but pro-Israeli media and academics are caving in to American press and making claims about Iranian involvement in order to put pressure on Biden to engage in conflict with Iran. For all of us, that will be a devastating decision.
As the dead toll from the war rises, Israel retakes Gaza border areas.
As the war’s casualty toll surpassed 3,000 on Tuesday, the fourth day of intense fighting since the Islamists launched a surprise offensive, Israel claimed to have reclaimed Gaza border regions from Hamas terrorists.
Israel’s military offensive after Saturday’s assault is simply the beginning of a protracted conflict to eliminate Hamas and “change the Middle East,” according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Ahead of an anticipated Israeli ground invasion into Gaza, the crowded, poor territory from which Hamas launched its land, air, and sea offensive on the Jewish Sabbath, fears of a regional conflagration have increased.
Over 900 people have died in Israel as a result of the bloodiest attack in the nation’s 75-year history, while 765 people have been confirmed dead in Gaza and 1,500 militants’ bodies have been uncovered, according to Israel’s army.
According to Moti Bukjin, a volunteer with the organization Zaka that retrieves bodies in line with Jewish law, Hamas gunmen murdered around 100 individuals in the kibbutz of Beeri alone.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu compared the widespread killing of civilians in Israel to crimes carried out by the Islamic State, commonly known as ISIS.
In a televised address to the bereaved nation late Monday, Netanyahu claimed that “Hamas terrorists bound, burned, and executed children.” They are wild animals. ISIS is Hamas.
An “emergency government of national unity” was also requested by the seasoned leader of Israel’s hard-right coalition after his administration’s proposal for judicial reforms this year divided the country and even its troops.
Hamas’ armed wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, declared its intention to “end all the crimes of the occupation (Israel)” as it started its campaign. Their time of committing crimes without being held responsible has passed.
For its “Swords of Iron” campaign, the Israeli army has activated 300,000 reserve soldiers and gathered tanks and other heavy armor close to Gaza and on the northern border with Lebanon, where clashes have occurred.
The military stated that Israeli troops had largely taken back control of Gaza’s border and the troubled south, and they had also driven out remaining Hamas fighters from more than a dozen towns and kibbutzim.
According to Richard Hecht, a spokesman for the army, “about 1,500 bodies of Hamas (fighters) have been found in Israel around the Gaza Strip.” Hecht also stated that security forces have “more or less restored control over the border” with the enclave.
