Bobrisky Remains in Custody, Social media personality and popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has reportedly failed to meet the bail conditions set by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after his arrest on charges related to the abuse of Naira notes, spraying of Naira, and currency mutilation.

    Bobrisky was apprehended by the Lagos State Command of the EFCC at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State. According to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, Bobrisky’s failure to meet the bail conditions has been confirmed.

    Oyewale stated, “Bobrisky is with us. He was arrested last night in Lagos, and he is at our Lagos command. We arrested him for alleged abuse of Naira notes, spraying of Naira notes, and currency mutilation, among others. We are very serious about restoring the dignity of the Naira. Though our investigation is still ongoing, he will definitely be charged to court soon.”

    The EFCC initiated action against Bobrisky following a video report of him spraying and flaunting wads of new Naira notes at the premiere of a movie in Lagos on March 24, 2024. It was revealed that he had committed similar offenses at other events and parties. Bobrisky arrived at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on Wednesday, April 4, 2024, for interrogation and provided his statements voluntarily.

    “Upon the completion of investigations, he will be promptly charged to court.”
