Boat accident : 23 people are thought dead as the Kebbi Government consoles families
A boat accident involving 30 traders has drawn the sympathy of the Kebbi State Government, Yauri Emirate Council, and the Local Government.
23 persons were thought to have died in the dreadful catastrophe.
This information was revealed by Alhaji Ahmed Idris, the governor’s chief press secretary, in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.

According to the Chief Press Secretary, his principle delivered a message of condolence to the impacted people.
Gov. Idris urged the impacted families to accept God’s will in good fortune and prayed to Allah Ta’ala to bestow the deceased Jannatul Firdaus (Paradise) in the presence of the Almighty.
“I want to implore you to consider what transpired to be the unquestionable will of the All-Powerful Allah and to accept it as good fortune. We should also keep asking Allah to overlook their transgressions and grant them Jannatul Firdaus, he said.
The governor prayed to Almighty God to stop similar incidents from happening again and for those injured in the horrible scenario to recover quickly.
It was discovered that the boat, which was carrying 30 traders and their wares, capsized on its way from Kasabo village to Yauri town on Monday.
However, while the search and rescue effort was still going on, just seven individuals were found alive and 23 others were still missing. (NAN)
