Tinubu implements conditional cash transfers For 15million households

    As part of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, President Bola Tinubu will launch a conditional cash transfer program today that is aimed at 15 million households.

    In his broadcast on October 1st, Independence Day, the President said that starting this month, the government would be implementing a conditional cash transfer program aimed at the poorest of the poor.

    “By expanding cash transfer programs to an additional 15 million vulnerable households, the social safety net is being extended,” he declared.

    The President announced that his administration has started changes, pointing out that while they could hurt, grandeur and the future demand them.

    We now bear the costs of bringing Nigeria to a future in which the bounty and benefits of the land are equitably distributed among everyone, rather than being hoarded by a privileged and avaricious few. A Nigeria where hardship, hunger, and poverty are relegated to the distant past, he declared.

    “Seeing this country’s citizens bear obligations that ought to have been abandoned years ago brings me no joy. I wish the problems of today didn’t exist. But if we want to see the bright side of the future, we have to persevere.

    “Every effort is being made by my government to lighten the strain. I’ll now go over the steps we are doing to reduce the stress in our homes and families.
