Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger State has announced a substantial investment of N1 trillion in the state’s infrastructure development over the next two years. The governor unveiled this ambitious plan during the inauguration of a startup workshop for the Minna-Bida road project, a venture co-funded by the Islamic Development Bank and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, held at the Government House in Minna on Tuesday.
Governor Bago expressed gratitude to the Islamic Development Bank and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development for their collaboration in financing the Minna-Bida road project. He emphasized the state’s vast potential, citing its considerable size, the presence of four hydroelectric dams, and its strategic position with eight national and international borders. These attributes, he noted, serve as compelling selling points to attract investors to the state.
