CAN congratulates Muslims on Eid-El-Maulud and calls for coexistence, In honor of Prophet Mohammed’s birth, the Christian Association of Nigeria on Wednesday expressed its congratulations to Nigerian Muslims.

    In a message of congratulations to the Muslim faithful on behalf of the organization and the Christian community, CAN president Archbishop Daniel Okoh urged for the promotion of respect, understanding, and peaceful coexistence among all religions.

    Okoh stated that the diversity of Nigeria’s society is one of its strengths. People should therefore encourage respect for one another and coexistence in harmony.

    “As we remember this important event, we recognize Nigeria’s varied society, which is made up of people from different ethnic, cultural, and religious origins. Our strength as a country lies inside this vast diversity.

    Therefore, the Christian leader urged, “we must continue to promote mutual respect, understanding, and peaceful coexistence among all religious communities.”

    The message went on to say, “Once more, on behalf of the Christian Association of Nigeria, I wish the Muslim faithful in Nigeria a peaceful celebration.”
