FCT, Abuja – Following the release of President Bola Tinubu’s 28-person ministry nomination list on Thursday, July 27, the Senate will begin screening today, Monday, July 31.

According to reports, roughly 15 of the ministerial nominees had presented their credentials to the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Abdullahi Gumel, as of Sunday, July 30.

Senate will begin confirmation hearings for 16 candidates on the Ministerial List

Abuja, FCT – The Senate has shortlisted 16 nominees from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet list for confirmation hearings. These are the names:

Ministerial screening: Video emerges as Wike makes critical Senate pledge

Abuja (FCT) – Former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike says President Bola Tinubu would not be sorry for picking him to be a minister in his cabinet.

Wike, the lone PDP chieftain on the President’s cabinet list forwarded to the Senate last Thursday, revealed this when he went before the red chamber on Monday for screening.

Wike informed the Senators that as governor of the oil-rich Niger Delta state from May 2015 to May 2023, he initiated and finished several projects to strengthen the state’s infrastructure and invited lawmakers from all political parties to commission them.

Wike appears in the National Assembly for the purpose of screening, and a video is released.

The 28-person list of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ministerial picks, which was made public on Friday, July 28, included Wike.
